    Google Art & Tradition Experiment

    Disputes as as to if or not to classify something as a work of art are referred to as classificatory disputes about art. Classificatory disputes within the twentieth century have included cubist and impressionist work, Duchamp’s Fountain, the flicks, superlative imitations of banknotes, conceptual art, and video video games. Philosopher David Novitz has argued that disagreement concerning the definition of art are hardly ever the center of the problem.
